Setting Up Phone Line Customization

Overview: This article will show you how to update your phone line message. 

Step 1: Under the Company drop-down in the left sidebar, click "Account."

The screen will refresh, and the Company Profile page will display.

Step 2: Click "Customization."

The screen will refresh, and the Customization screen will show.

Step 3: Under Phone Line Customization, click "click here."

Step 4: A pop-up will appear. Enter the area code you want to use & click "Submit."

Step 5: A drop-down menu will appear. Select a phone number from that menu and click "Register One."

Step 6: The screen will refresh, and the customized number will appear next to Customized Phone Line. Click "Edit Setting."

Step 7: If there is a number other than the company number to receive calls for leasing agents, enter it in the box under "Option 4 forward phone number."

Note: This will only work if the customized message is enabled with an option to press 4.

Step 8: Click "How to record customized greetings."

Step 9:  The "How to record customized greetings" pop-up will appear with the following instructions:

• "To record a custom greeting, dial your custom phone number from a phone number registered to an Agent in Rently and press "0" at the menu."
• "Feel free to include custom content in your message before and after the following menu options. Please read the following menu options in your greeting:
  • If you are inquiring about one of our rental properties, press 1."
  • "If you would like to see a list of all our available properties, press 2."
  • "To contact a leasing agent, press 3."

Note: If the phone line isn't customized, the IVR will greet the caller stating, "Welcome to Rently. Press 1 to know the property details. Press 2 to connect to an Agent." If the phone line is customized, the IVR will greet the caller stating, "Welcome to (Company Name)."

Step 10: Click "Ok."

Step 11: Move the toggle under "Enable Customized Greeting" to "On" if there is a customized greeting to be enabled.

Step 12: Click "Save." Congratulations! You've successfully set up the Phone Line Customization. Great work!
