Overview: This article will show you how to generate codes for unlocking the key cage, unshackling & resetting the Lockbox. Once you receive your Lockboxes you will need to test them out and get a feel for how they will operate in the field.
Note: The unlock, unshackling and reset codes are only good for an hour. Leave the Lockbox shackled until attaching it to a Property so the Lockbox and shackle aren't separated.
Important: You must press the Enter button on the Lockbox keypad first and ensure that the buttons beep when you press them.
Note: Unshackle codes are used to unshackle the Lockbox and remove it from the property. They can be generated from the Units or Devices pages of Rently Tour Manager (MF). Codes can also be generated within the Rently Tour Manager (MF) app in the field or on the go.
Generating a Code From the Units Page:
Step 1: In the left sidebar, click "Units" under the Properties dropdown.
A list of Units will display.
Step 2: In the dropdown menu under Units, select the Community where the Unit is located, then select the Unit to which the Lockbox is attached.
Step 3: The Edit Unit menu will appear on the right. Scroll down & click "Unshackle."
Step 4: An unshackle code will appear in a pop-up. Enter the code on the Lockbox keypad.
Generating a Code From the Devices Page
Step 1: In the left sidebar, click "Devices" under the Devices dropdown.
The screen will refresh, and the Devices page will display.
Step 2: Select the Lockbox. A menu will appear on the right. Click "Unshackle."
Step 3: An unshackle code will appear in a pop-up. Enter the code on the Lockbox keypad.
Note: Open codes are used to unlock the Lockbox key cage. They can be generated from the Units or Devices pages of Rently Tour Manager (MF). Codes can also be generated within the Rently Tour Manager (MF) app in the field or on the go.
Generating a Code From the Edit Unit Menu
Step 1: In the left sidebar, click "Units" under the Properties dropdown.
The screen will refresh, and the Units page will display.
Step 2: Select the Community where the Unit is located in the dropdown menu under Units. Select the Unit to which the Lockbox is attached.
Step 3: The Edit Unit menu will appear. Scroll down and click "Open."
Step 4: A pop-up will appear with the code. Enter the code on the Lockbox keypad.
Generating a Code from the Devices Page
Step 1: In the left sidebar, under the Devices dropdown, click "Devices."
The screen will refresh, and the Devices page will display.
Step 2: Select the Lockbox and click "Open."
Step 3: A pop-up will appear with the code. Enter the code on the Lockbox keypad.
Step 1: In the left sidebar, click "Units" under the Properties dropdown.
The screen will refresh, and the Units page will display.
Step 2: Select the Community where the Unit is located in the dropdown menu under Units, then select the Unit to which the Lockbox is attached.
Step 3: The Edit Unit menu will appear on the right side. Scroll down and click "Reset."
Step 4: A pop-up will appear. Verify that the open and unshackle codes are correctly entered with each input beeping as pressed. If you continue to receive error messages on the Lockbox, follow the steps in the pop-up to reset the Lockbox.
Step 5: Click "Ok."
Resetting the Lockbox using the Devices page
Step 1: In the left sidebar, under the Devices dropdown, click "Devices."
The screen will refresh, and the Devices page will display.
Step 2: Select the Lockbox. A menu will appear on the right. Click "Reset."
Step 3: A pop-up will appear. Verify that the open and unshackle codes are correctly entered with each input beeping as pressed. If you continue to receive error messages on the Lockbox, follow the steps in the pop-up to reset the Lockbox.
Step 4: Click "Ok." Congratulations! You've successfully generated unshackle, unlock & reset codes in Rently Tour Manager (MF), great work!
