How to change batteries in your Yale Keyed Lock.
Rently Smart Home Portal and App have built-in notifications that alert you when the battery status is low. In addition, the lock will also beep when the batteries need to be changed.
In the event the batteries do require to be changed, you will need the following items:
- Philips head screwdriver
- Four new AA Alkaline batteries.
Step 1: Remove the battery cover from the interior side of the door. To do this, look for the screw on the top of the battery cover. Use the Philips screwdriver and remove the screw. Remove the battery cover by pulling away and up. The battery cover will come off.
Feature: If you have the lock without the lever when the batteries are successfully replaced, it will greet you by saying, "Welcome to Yale Real Living."
Step 2: Remove the old batteries.
Note: Before installing the new batteries, ensure the deadbolt is in the retracted (unlocked) position.
Step 3: Replace with new batteries (4 AA Alkaline).
Step 4: Replace the battery cover by sliding it down from the top of the lock until it clicks shut.
Step 5: Use a Philips screwdriver to put the screw back in.
