Asset Details Page - Device Overview
When viewing all the assets listed in the summary, clicking on a single Asset will open the Asset detail page. This detail page will display all associated devices to the Asset. The following article will highlight what different devices may look like.
Note: Devices that appear will depend on what was purchased and installed. Additional devices can be purchased and installed at any time.
Device Box Overview:
The following example will show you what devices are installed and communicating with the hub associated with the Asset. The individual device box will give you device status information too. These devices can be custom labeled to reflect where they are located on the property.
This box represents Door and Window Sensors. They show up as the same icon. The actual word "Closed" or "Open" will display the current status. Another available status is the estimated battery life installed in the device.
Note: You cannot open/close a contact sensor through the portal.

The actual word "Closed" or "Open" will display the current status.
The green plug indicates the switch was correctly installed. If you see a red plug, contact Rently Support at 888-340-6340.
You can turn the lights on and off from the portal by hovering your mouse over the icon. The settings gear icon in the bottom right-hand corner is another way to turn the switch on or off.
The following screen will display if you click on the gear icon.
Note: Only residents can set a schedule.

Motion sensors detect motion. The device itself blinks red when motion is detected in the room it is located. This device box is only for monitoring; no action can be taken on the device. Look to the Z-Wave icon for device status (online/offline). Installed battery life status displays too.

When contact and/or motion sensors are installed, automatically a monitoring icon will displays. The functionality of this complimentary icon, is to arm/disarm a sensor. If the device is armed you'll receive notifications of any triggers.
Note: Schedules can be set, but only by residents through the app.
The thermostat device box displays the following information:
- Room temperature
- Humidity percentage
- Z-Wave connectivity
- Battery Status or Power Source (Green Plug - if hard wired)
You can control the HVAC system by hovering over the thermostat icon.
Note: A property manager has additional options for controlling HVAC systems under settings. To view full instructions click on Advanced Portal Thermostat Settings.

No matter what brand of lock is installed, the same icon will display. The actual word "Locked" or "Unlocked" will display the current status.
A door can be unlocked and locked from the portal by hovering over the icon.

Leak sensors detect leaks. This device box is for monitoring only. The actual word "Leakage" or "No Leakage" will display the current status. Installed battery status will display too.
