How to Calibrate / Handing a Yale Lock
Calibration of Yale Assure Locks (YRD216/226/256), Keyless (YRD110, YRD120) and Yale Pro SL (YRD136, YRD156)
You will need to calibrate the lock to program which direction the deadbolt should extend. This process will only need to be completed once, as the calibration determines the direction for you.
- Right-hinge versus left-hinged (The direction in the door opens).
To calibrate/handle your lock:
- Install the lock.
- Place the door in the open position and lock the deadbolt.
Note: For the next step, you will need to contact Rently Support or the property management company for what is referred to as the master code. Looking at the keypad, take note of the gear icon.
3. On the keypad, enter the following sequence:
- Master Code
- Gear Icon
If calibration is successful, the lock will make an ascending tone.
Verify that the device has been calibrated by unlocking and locking the door in the applicable software and/or app.
