How can I put a source tag on my Community Link?
Source Tagging refers to using tools to discern where your self-tour originated from. In almost all cases, the self-tour starts from the Community Listing Link URL:
https://homes.rently.com/apartments-for-rent/Code%20Court/46
This link defaults the source to Community Link. However, you can change the above URL to have a source. For example, the below URL would give the source as "property_website":
https://homes.rently.com/apartments-for-rent/Code%20Court/46?source=property_website
The main thing to note is that after the Community Listing Link, you must append the below format:
"?source=SOURCETAG",
Where SOURCETAG is what the source would be.
Is it possible to read the source from my Property Management Service, like Yardi, RealPage, or Entrata?
Our team is working on these integrations and we will be able to maintain the primary source of your guest cards.
I use Knock in conjunction with Rently to market the Rently Community Listing Link. Do I have to follow the above still?
No, you should not follow the above. Knock uses a different source tagging form that our system can read and manage without any manual effort on your part.
