What is Vendor Access?
Rently allows special access to be set up for your trusted business partners that may need regular access to a property via a Rently lockbox. Rently will use the vendor's cell phone number to identify and associate them with the Vendor Record.
Vendor access can also generate notifications sent to your team and be logged in your Activity Log for you to monitor.
How to Add a Vendor:
Step 1: Navigate to the Vendors page of Rently
Step 2: Click the "New Vendor" button
Step 3: Input the vendor name and choose options
The "Name" can be either an individual's name or a group name (i.e. Cleaning Crew, MLS Agent)
The 'Realtor?' checkbox will ask the vendor to record their name and purpose of visit.
'Never Expire Pin' will prevent the vendor verification phone pin from expiring, allowing new Vendor Group users to be added.
Step 4: Click "Save Vendor"
Step 5: Provide your vendor with the Vendor Access Instructions
You vendor will need the access instructions to gain access. The instructions will always be in the following format:
- Locate the serial number on the lockbox at the property.
- Dial to (888) 889-8357
- Enter Phone Verification PIN # (You only need to do this once per mobile phone.)
- Enter lockbox serial and press #
- Follow voice instruction to unlock box.
- Return key and close box when you are done.
Rently also includes two useful buttons to help send instructions to your vendors.
Note: Some property managers will set themselves up as a Vendor
to have an additional way to access their lockboxes. Try it out!
