Lockbox Troubleshooting Steps:
Step 1: Does it give an ERROR light after entering a code?
If you receive the CODE // ERROR response on the Lockbox, use a Clock Sync/Reset lock.
Clock Sync - Available on mobile applications under device section
Reset lock - Available on the Rently Manager Portal or browser log-in.
It has two steps to be followed. If the reset code is successful, the MESSAGE light will illuminate, and the Lockbox emits a triple beep. After that, try a standard unlock/unshackle code.
If the reset code does not work or the error light persists, contact your Client Success Manager to receive an emergency unshackle code and order a replacement.
Step 2. If the Lockbox is Dead
Firmly press the ENT key a few times (bottom right of the keypad).
The battery may be dead if your Lockbox does not respond to button presses (the keypad should light up and make audible beeps). If the battery is dead, you can email your Client Success Manager or contact technical support, and we will send you a power paddle. This paddle should generate enough of a charge to unlock/unshackle the Lockbox. Once it has been removed, please contact your CSM or technical support to return/replace the Lockbox.
Step 3. The motor does not engage (no audible motor whirring), or there is some sound but grinds and stops immediately.
In this case, the motor may be stuck. Try an unlock/unshackle code. If that doesn't work you can try holding the bottom of the lock with one hand and pressing the top of the Lockbox like a sandwich with the other hand. The motor should be released, and the Lockbox should work; if this doesn't work, you'll need to remove it by force, either by cutting through the shackle or removing the knob completely.
Step 4: Lockbox is stuck open
If your Lockbox vault does not close, it could mean that it was not shut properly or left open for longer than an hour(any Lockbox left open for more than an hour will go into a "hard lock").
You may need an additional unlock code to reset the Lockbox
