Each property has a status listed next to the “Last Updated at:” date. This is a quick way to check how a property is being advertised.
If you have auto-sync enabled in your integration setting, the property status may automatically update to match your property management software. See Auto-Sync: Features and Settings
There are several different statuses that may appear:
An Inactive property is not being syndicated/advertised and a renter wouldn’t be able to register for a showing. This property can still have a lockbox assigned, but only an authorized Vendor or Agent would be able to access.
Rently will syndicate your listing and automatically respond to inbound inquiries. Your prospects will be able to register with Rently to view this property by themselves.
Pre-leasing is for properties you intend to turn on auto-showing for at a later date. Rently will syndicate your listing and still automatically respond to inquiries. However, instead of registering for an auto-showing, your leads will be added to the Waiting List. Later, when you enable auto-showing, all leads on the Waiting List will be notified that it is ready for viewing.
Rently will advertise this property to our syndication partners and respond to your inbound inquires. Renters will not be able to register for a showing, instead they will only see your contact information, the property description and the "Apply Now" link if applicable.
For clients set up with our scheduler feature, this property has Agent-Showing enabled.
In addition to the auto-showing option, renters finding your Rently listing will be offered to “schedule an agent-showing."
Note: You will need to make sure that there is a Showing Agent set up with available showing hours in Rently to show this property.
This is for properties that you intend to enable agent-showing at a later date.
Renters interested in an agent-showing will register to be added to a Waiting List, much like pre-leasing. When you enable Agent-Showing in the property settings, your leads on the Waiting List will automatically be notified that it is now available to schedule an agent showing.
Make sure to set up appropriate showing hours before the switch!
Archived properties have their own tab on the Properties page. Since a lease may typically last a year or more, there is no need to constantly view these properties. Rently will safely store the data entered for these properties on the Archived Properties tab.
At anytime, you can send the property back to My Properties with the saved information. Feel free to refresh the description, update the price, and assign a lockbox.
Note: Properties stay in the Archived Properties tab for 9 months. After that, they will automatically be deleted.
