There are a few different ways to get a code to access a Rently lockbox. You can authorize your agents and vendors to gain access to a lockbox, and your potential tenants can generate codes on their own when viewing a property with Rently auto-showing.
Here is a brief outline how each process works with a link to find out more if you would like to set someone up for access.
Your Coworkers and Agents:
Adding your coworkers as Agents will give them access to the Rently portal. Your Rently Admin can create additional login profiles for coworkers at your office. Once you login to your Rently portal with your login email, you will be able to generate codes for your Rently lockboxes by clicking the Unlock or Unshackle button for the corresponding device.

Vendors or Showing Services (MLS):
Vendors are given a specific set of instructions and a special vendor access phone line to generate lockbox access codes. You will need to pre-register your vendor on the Vendors tab and provide them with the access instructions. Vendors will be able to visit properties freely, with access being logged in the property activity log, until you decide to revoke their access.
Renters/Prospects/Potential Tenants:
Renters looking to access a property have two main ways to generate access codes for a lockbox. The first is through registering with Rently for an auto-showing. Once they have been vetted by our security process, and check-in at the property, they will be provided a one-time access code.
The second way a renter can get an access code is by the property manager sending one via the “New Visitor- Direct Code” button from the Rently Portal. This bypasses the Rently security process and allows you to text a code directly to the renter without having them register with their identity credentials.
