Safe Mode requires that property managers grant approval before prospects can complete an auto-showing. This optional step in the auto-showing process is designed to help you vet prospective renters.
Rently’s Safe Mode can apply to all of your properties or select properties of your choosing.
Note: Safe Mode will require active monitoring by one of your staff in order to allow renters access to a property.
How to Turn On Safe Mode
- Navigate to the Company settings on the Account tab.
- At the bottom of the page, click the "Edit Account Settings" button.
- Change the "Invite Type" field to either "Safe Mode" or "Safe Mode - Select Properties" from the drop-down menu.
- Save your changes.
If you choose “Safe Mode - Select Properties”, there will be an orange text link next to Safe Mode. Clicking this link will take you to a page where you can select which properties to apply the safe mode restriction.
How to Approve Renters in Your Safe Mode Queue:
You can easily approve renters right from the “viewing notification” email you’ll receive, as well as from the Rently Manager Portal. Simply navigate to the Leads > Safe Mode section to see a list of renters awaiting approval.
